Balconies in buildings on FPT University campus are brilliantly pink, orange, red, and white when the four-year-old bougainvillea bushes are in season.
In the middle of the green campus of the school, the white 5-storey buildings stand out with the balconies reaching out covered with colorful confetti. At the beginning of summer, flowers bloom, this place becomes a favorite photo spot for students and young people outside of school.
According to Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Thach, head of the administrative department, the buildings in the school with confetti and shady balconies came from the idea of Dr. Le Truong Tung, President of FPT University, about planting trees. forest style, applying the formula of 200 shade trees per hectare. The purpose of this is to green the entire campus, bring vitality to teachers, students, and students.

Paper flowers were planted as soon as the two main school buildings Gamma and Beta were completed in 2019. As a plant lover, when she was assigned to be in charge of this area, Ms. Thach was excited to learn. "I and the administrative office staff looked for documents, learned about tree planting and land improvement models from tree experts and colleagues from all over the country," said Ms. Thach.
She explained that she chose to cover the balconies of two buildings with bougainvillea because this is a sun-loving, drought-resistant plant, suitable for sunny and windy Central regions. Each building has about 160 tubs, planted 240 trees.
The care of bougainvillea bushes and trees on campus is currently in charge of one unit. The bougainvillea is watered twice a week; Apply NPK fertilizer, cow dung, duckweed in the lake, during and after bud bloom to keep flowers blooming longer. Two years ago, the flower pots started to bloom. Flowers bloom all year round but are most vibrant in late spring and early summer. In the rainy season in October and November, there are few flowers, mainly leaves and branches.
This is the second year that the tree is in full bloom on the campus. Nguyen Quang Hoang, a student of the Faculty of Business Administration, said that he loves and often takes pictures of buildings covered with flowers.
"In Da Nang, there are few schools with green space, mainly for buildings. I am proud of the school and have more love and attachment to this place," Hoang said.
Tran Vu Hong An, K16 majoring in Hotel Management, said confetti and architectural style are the school's distinctive features. The final year female student is impressed with the green plants planted along the corridors, walkways and on the balcony, creating a harmonious and friendly whole.

FPT Campus Da Nang was built in early 2018, with an area of more than 5 hectares. The school has nearly 5,000 students.
